Lead Trainer: UNTAN Informatics Training for Unity Development (UNITY)

What they needed

The Informatics Student Association at UNTAN's Faculty of Engineering saw growing student interest in interactive software development, particularly game development and virtual reality, both of which now play a central role in creative technology innovation. A training program was needed that could break down the complex concepts of the Unity game engine into practical, easy-to-follow material for more than 40 student participants.

What I delivered

I served as lead trainer, guiding the entire UNTAN Informatics Training for Unity Development (UNITY) from start to finish with a hands-on approach. Rather than passively receiving foundational concepts, participants dove straight into practice sessions, designing interactive environments and program logic in Unity, from writing and executing scripts to setting up visual assets and rendering results in real time. The session stayed relaxed but focused, turning what initially felt like a complex subject into something practical and genuinely enjoyable to explore.

Outcome

The training drew more than 40 participants with high enthusiasm, reflecting strong academic awareness of the importance of interactive software development skills. Beyond the technical knowledge transfer, the training reflected UNTAN's broader academic commitment to upholding integrity and improving learning quality, while pushing participants to become more resilient and competency-ready in the face of fast-moving developments in creative software and digital innovation.

Outcome

Participants were able to design interactive environments and program logic directly in Unity, while being encouraged to build an independent, self-driven learning mindset for their continued development in creative software.
